Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the “Digital Agriculture Mission” with a substantial financial outlay of Rs. 2,817 Crore including a central government share of Rs. 1940 Crore on 2 September 2024. Several digital agriculture initiatives have been started by the government to support farmers economically and socially. The Digital General Crop Estimation Survey (DGCES) covers AgriStack designed as a farmer-centric Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) to streamline services and scheme delivery to farmers. Here Direct Farmer Registration, Geo-referenced village maps, and Crop Sown Registry are available. The AgriStack is the introduction of a “Farmer ID” similar to an Aadhaar card, serving as a trusted digital identity for farmers.
How to Apply Online For Kisan Digital ID Scheme 2024?
- Open the Kisan Digital ID Scheme Official Portal.
- Click on Farmer Registration or Kisan ID Registration option on the Home Page.
- Now Registration Form will open.
- Enter your aadhar card number, mobile number, and other details.
- Fill in Captcha and Complete OTP Verification.
- Now Update personal details like Crop, land, etc.
- Upload scanned document copy if asked.
- Click on the Register option.
Kisan Digital ID Registration Online Apply
The Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare targets Three Years to Create Farmer ID (Kisan ID) for almost 11 Core Farmers till 2026-27. These Kisan Digital IDs created and maintained by the State Governments/ Union Territories will be linked to various farmer-related data, including land records, livestock ownership, crops sown, and benefits availed. The Farmer Registry direct option is available on the agristack.gov.in Portal. Kisan ID will be used as “Kisan ki Pehchan” which offers secured payments and transactions for all Farmer Schemes.

Benefits of Farmer ID
The main motive of Kisan ID is to provide all the farmer’s scheme benefits at a single registration. This Farmer ID makes Secured Payments and Transactions with more transparency in all types of Kisan Yojanas.
